Fleurs’ Seafood Restaurant, one of New Zealand’s favorites, is just 100m down the hill for that special meal, (and why not enjoy a fantastic breakfast there, too).
For that quiet drink or meal, the Moeraki Tavern and Hampden Pub are also close by.
For day time activities the internationally renowned Moeraki Boulders are just a 5 minute drive, or 20 min walk from the reserve along the beach. You may even be accompanied by some playful Hector Dolphins.
Join a fishing charter for an exciting day out on the water and land a big one. Or maybe do the coastal millennium track. The start is only 50m up the hill and it’s a great walk.
Complete your day with a visit to the lighthouse and be sure to bring your camera to capture the local wildlife of Penguins, Seals and many other native creatures that inhabit the Moeraki coastline.
